about

"Song of a Dying Tree" delves deep into the intricate themes of loneliness and entropy. Using only two instruments for each track, (improvised Appalachian Mountain dulcimer and guitar), it tells a compelling story of the cycle of existence and the inevitable passage of time.

Collectively, the tracks can be taken as the chronology of just one day evoking a sense of contemplation and introspection, inviting reflection on the transient nature of life. The music transports listeners to a solitary realm where the passage of time is keenly felt, and memories linger like ghosts in the mist while offering glimpses of fleeting beauty amidst the encroaching darkness. Capturing the bittersweet essence of nostalgia and the ephemeral nature of happiness it confronts the harsh realities of mortality and decay head-on, a poignant reminder of life's fragile nature and the inevitability of its eventual end.

Finally, as it finishes it conveys a sense of acceptance, a tribute to the beauty found in impermanence, a celebration of life's fleeting moments, and a solemn acknowledgment of the inevitability of death.

"Song of a Dying Tree" is a meditation on the human experience and the passage of time. Each track invites listeners to embark on a journey of self-discovery, exploring the depths of their own emotions and confronting the universal truths that bind us all. Through its evocative music and thought-provoking themes, i leaves an indelible mark on the soul, resonating long after the final notes have faded away.
